Personality : He can put on the charm and can be very charismatic but a lot of that is a mask to hide the damaged boy beneath.  He is fiercely loyal to his friends and allies. He has a good heart but a death wish. Extremely impulsive. 

History :

Born and raised on a war torn planet where force users are hunted and killed for being an affront to their Gods, Paul did not have a good start in life. His step-father was a drunk, angry and dangerous man whom took out his anger and problems on the sons his wife left behind when she died.  Or so Paul believed, he eventually discovered the truth that Edward was working with the IEA and Razeel (The Priest) to try and break him.
 

When he entered school, Paul discovered friends and those friends introduced him to music.  He found he was talented with the music and it was one skill he didn't have to hide. He also found music brought the perks of sex, drugs and alcohol which helped him further escape the hell of his planet and his home. 

He also met Alison.  She was his heart and his reason for fighting,  She was able to draw him out of the darkest depths and when they were 16 they had a daughter named Jordan.  She is the light in Paul's life.

The guys played what some came to call 'rebel music' and it began to encourage the youth to stand up against the oppressors of their home, though at first they were unorganised and many died through their actions, this leading Paul to become the unofficial leader of their rebellion.

Eventually the government began to catch up with the young man and he was forced to flee his home and try and find safety elsewhere in the universe.  Razeel eventually managed to catch Paul and Ali, Paul managed to escape but it was too late for his beloved and he carried her lifeless body from the hell.

After Ali died, he fell deep into drugs and alcohol and he started dating a man called Sean.  During that time, he was found by the IEA again and Sean's life was threatened, so to save him, he broke up with him then and there.  He escaped the IEA and OD'd.  Jo's maternal grandfather took her from Paul and Sojihie, the jedi hiding on Isle and helping the rebellion, healed Paul and sent him off world.  She sent a message to Sage to help him and they made their way to Brightstone.

He is naive in the ways of the greater universe and barely understands his abilities, and whilst he has much passion and pain, he believes in justice and diplomacy when possible, though he knows that there are moments where the violence he tries to avoid is more than necessary.

Meeting his Aunt, former 13th sister, Aoife Hanluan, he learned he is not exactly 'human' and is of the original people of Isle, the myth.  They are long lived, shapeshifting beings (they have one human form and one 'mythic' form.  Paul is a dragon). They are stronger than the engineered Islish humans by at least 3 times (depends on kind of myth they are) they can be faster and fly if they have wings.  Each myth will have unique abilities depending their first form (their human form is secondary once it is unlocked)

He also learned he is heir to the throne of Isle... something he does not wish to claim.
